In addition to Restoring the woodwork in these gorgeous Mercedes, we are proud to announce that we are manufacturing NEW Door Trim Panels - replicating the parts that were originally offered as an option by AMG. We recommend that you have us restore your orginal woodwork at the same time that you have us make you the New Door Trim Panels. That way you are assured that your stock parts look showroom new. Additionally, it allows us to get the best possible "compliment" when we make you your New Door Trim Panels. Below are Before and After pictures of some of the parts we restored for one of our customers. |

Notice how much tone is lost over the years. The restored woodwork is once again rich and vibrant, has more depth and the grain pattern really comes alive. |

1969-1971 Mercedes-Benz W111 280 |
This set below, is a great example of wood type color change and customer confusion over what species of wood was in their Mercedes-benz. |
When our customer contacted us, their woodwork was still in their car and they thought their woodwork was either Mahogany or Straight Grained Walnut. They wondered why the back of their Glove Compartment Door might have been veneered in something else. We told them not to worry, and that we'd be able to tell once we had the parts "in hand". |
As far as this vintage goes, this set was in really good condition - except for the broken lower windshield bow. The substructure was in fantastic shape, compared to the many sets we get in where the plys are delaminating and the "A" pillar/windshield trim panels are broken at the corners. Additionally, the veneer was in great shape even though it had faded and changed in color tremendously !!!! Here is what the set looked like when we got it: |

The windshield pillar posts (picturedbelow) are from a different car.Our attention to detail is evident in everything we do. It is standard proceedure for us to Reveneer opposing parts using matching pieces of veneer, as you can clearly see on these W-111 windshield pillar posts that we Reveneered along with the entire set. Our customer was thrilled !!! |

NEW O.E.M. Replacement Rear Window Trim Fits 1963 - 1971 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL, 250 SL, 280 SL Roadsters
As most of you know, very few of the stock Rear Window Trims have survived the ravages of heat, moisture and time and if yours is like most, it has deteriorated beyond repair. We at Madera Concepts are proud to offer you a beautiful O.E.M. Replacement Rear Window Trim. We created the jigs, fixtures and tooling so that we can make our parts with the same shape as the factory ones had. |
The stock Rear Window Trim from Mercedes-Benz was aFigured Grain Walnut (often refered to as straight grained walnut) and the picture below shows the part we manufacture in Figured Grain Walnut. |
And of course, we can stain your new Rear Window Trim to compliment your existing wood. |
Because we are the manufacturer, we can make your part using a veneer that better suits your desires.
In the picture above, our customer had us Reveneer their entire set of woodwork using Burled Walnut, and of course, we veneered the Rear Window Trim with the same matching veneer. They were thrilled !!! |

1963-1971 Mercedes-Benz 230 / 250 / 280 SL |

Also, the camera flash made the color, especially the lighter stripes look redder than normal. |

The Mercedes-Benz 600's are some of the most sought after collector cars in the world and Madera Concepts is proud to be the company that the best restorers and collectors turn to for the restoration of the Mercedes-Benz woodwork. |

Only 2677 of these luxurious vehicles were built, and both the SWB and LWB models had very extensive woodwork. When it comes to the wood restoration of your Mercedes-Benz 600, you can trust Madera Concepts to get it right !! |

1972 Mercedes-Benz 600 W100 |
Below are pictures from a 1972 Mercedes-Benz 600. When we got this set of woodwork from our customer, it was in very very poor condition.....ESPECIALLY the ends of the Windshield "Trinket Tray" Bow. Both ends of it had suffered major water damage. The veneers in the base substructure had delaminated, rotted away at each end and most of those pieces had been lost. Just so you get an idea of how bad it was, we placed both ends and the assorted fragments that were left, in the picture below! |

Our customer thought there was no hope for his woodwork and after weeks of searching he learned that used replacements - in restorable condition - did not exist. But our craftsmen painstakingly rebuilt the ends and restored it back to looking "Showroom New". |

Below are pictures of that Mercedes-Benz 600 woodwork AFTER we restored it. |

We never know what automotive woodwork might come to our facility for restoration, but years ago a gentleman came to us with woodwork from a 220SE. As he began to unwrap the parts, we saw that the veneer under the failing clear topcoat, was really special...but it was failing too. It was Birdseye Maple !!! Additionally, he told us that the car once belonged to Marilyn Monroe, which made this Mercedes Wood Restoration even more SPECIAL. Here are pictures of that beautiful Mercedes and the Incredible looking Birdseye Maple woodwork after we Reveneered and Refinished it. |

The Mercedes-Benz Type 300 (chassis codes W186, W188, and W189) were the company's largest and most-prestigious models throughout the 1950s. |
Since our founding in 1982, we have restored the woodwork from dozens of these magnificant Mercedes-Benz's. |
This set represents a Complete Restoration of the woodwork by us. We repaired any parts where needed, then Reveneered it in a beautiful Burled Walnut and Refinished it. |
Below are pictures of our woodwork installed in our customer's 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300C. This particular customer has been utilizing our woodwork restoration services since the late 80's. His incredible "ground-up" vehicle restorations, coupled with our woodwork, make his vehicles second to none. |
Reveneering this set in Burled Walnut is extremely difficult and labor intensive. We hope you agree that the end results are incredible.!! |

This is prime example of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SC Woodwork Restorations that we do !!! This woodwork is in a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SC Cabriolet. We Reveneered it with a gorgeous Burled Walnut and then Refinished it. This set has been in the car for a number of years, and the Burled Walnut veneer has changed in color a bit, from the medium dark brown color that it originally was...to the color you see now. |

Above is another example of a Mercede-Benz 300 Woodwork Restoration that we did. In this case, our customer wanted something very unique...and so we Reveneered the woodwork with a gorgeous English Burled Walnut !!!
YES, we know....it is the same configuration as the 1955-57 SC Cabriolet. In fact, this is picture is of the woodwork from a 1956 300 SC Cabriolet....BUT we are showing you it as an example that could have come from Mercedes-Benz in the 1954 (late model) - 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SB.
Here is what we learned from one of the leading experts on the 300 SC and SB models: |
The Late 1954 and 55 Mercedes-Benz 300 SB models had the same dashboard as the 1955-57 Mercedes-Benz 300 SC's had. The 300 S used a Becker Neurberg Radio. The 300 SB and SC used a Becker Mexico Radio. |
This set below was one of the most Unique sets we have ever seen from Mercedes-Benz !!! And YES, it came from the factory with very distinctive Rosewood, Burled Walnut and gorgeous Zebrano Crossbanding. Some might say that woodwork like this NEVER came from the factory....but this one did !! Getting ones' woodwork done "specially" was probably quite rare, but sometimes prestige and money were what it took to get something really out of the ordinary. We don't know how this one came to be....but in our 30 + years restoring Mercedes-Benz Woodwork, this is the first we have seen, where Rosewood timber and veneers were specially cut and laid out in diagonal patterns on the top of the dash cappings and the tops of the door capping rails.....and the first we have seen where Zebrano accenting "crossbanding" was used around the perimeter. Additionally, the craftsmen at Mercedes-Benz used Burled Walnut as the "face" veneers on some of the panels and then surrounded those areas with Zebrano "crossbanding" . |

Above is a picture of Mercedes-Benz 230 Cabriolet woodwork BEFORE we restored it. It was pretty obvious that at some point in the life of this woodwork, someone refinished it and used a stain that was almost "pink" in color. Needless to say, our customer wanted it to look like it ought to. |
Here is what this set of Mercedes-Benz 230 Cabriolet woodwork looked like AFTER we restored it. Our customer loved the warmth and beauty that was the end result of our restoration. |
